Los Espacios de Interes Natural en Aragón. Descripcion del Territorio.

Existe un gran diversidad de ambientes en nuestro territorio, lo que origina que la relación de espacios de interés natural sea muy elevada. Poco son los que actualmente cuentan con grado de protección pero son muchos los que gozan de algún elemento de interés natural.

Así, en la actualidad, gozan de protección legal los siguientes espacios:

• Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido.
• Parque Natural de la Sierra del Moncayo.
• Parque de la Sierra y Cañones de Guara.
• Parque de Posets-Maladeta.
• Reserva Natural de los Galachos de la Alfranca.
• Monumentos Naturales de los Glaciares Pirenaicos.
• Sitio Natural de Interés Nacional de San Juan de la Peña.

Además, existe un estudio con una propuesta de espacios naturales a proteger que consta de 111 espacios. La distribución de los mismos según las grandes unidades de relieve, son las siguientes:

• Cadena piromancia: 51 espacios.
• Depresión del Ebro: 16 espacios.
• Cordillera ibérica : 44 espacios.

El grado de protección y singularidad de los mismos es variable.
