Aether or apterygogen insects are insects that lack wings.
They develop without metamorphosis, that is, the offspring are born in the same way they will have as adults.
They are terrestrial, small in size and have a chewing or chopper mouthpiece.
They are classified as: Colébolo, Proturos, Dipluros y Tisanuros.
Insects of very small size. Without antennas, with simple eyes and an itchy mouthpiece.
They have no metamorphosis.
They live in humid environments, in caves and under the stones.
They have a jumping organ, as a spring, in the abdomen, which allows them to jump on the ground or water. Sometimes they invade pools and ponds, and they can inhabit the snow.
Insects with a chewing mouthpiece They feed on vegetables and also attack clothing, books, cookies, etc.
Composite eyes, long articulated antennas and three filaments at the abdominal end.
Body covered with small silver-looking scales.
Lepisma or silverfish (3 cm).
They lack eyes.
They have mobile, articulated antennas.
They have a small size.
Abdomen with 11 segments finished in pressing tongs.
They live under the stones and leaf litter.
Catajapix (7 mm)
Green flea (5 mm)
