Hunting is currently more a sport than a food resource, but for certain populations it can be a source of income that is not negligible. A proper management also implies protection rather than a threat to wildlife, since the hunters themselves are the first ones interested in the existence of an abundant and healthy fauna.

Due to its great extension, its low population density, and the enormous landscape variety it contains, Aragón is a privileged place for the practice of the sport of hunting.

The province of Huesca boasts one of the most outstanding natural resources in the country. The big game is generously represented with species such as wild boar or chamois, which reach here the highest density of the peninsula.

The province of Zaragoza offers, in its wide plains, an ideal terrain for the practice of small game.

In the mountains of Teruel, agressive and depopulated, are the hunting reserves of the Universal Mountains and the Ports of Beceite, where deer catches are obtained and mountain goat, which are often national records.
