The Parks are natural areas, little transformed by the operation or human occupation that, in regard to the beauty of their landscapes, the representativeness of their ecosystems or the singularity of their flora, its geomorphological fauna or its formation, have ecological, aesthetic, educative and scientific values whose conservation deservesa preferred attention.
I articulate 13. Law 4/89, of 27 of March, Conservation of the Natural Spaces and the Wild Flora and Fauna.
In 1918 the National Park of the Valley of Ordesa was declared by Law, that was next to the National Park of the Mountain of Covadonga, one of both first protected natural spaces.
In 1920 the third Protected Natural Space of the State is declared: the National Site of San Juan de la Peña.
However it would be necessary to hope to decree 3060/1978 for the declaration of the Natural Park of the Meadow of Moncayo.
At the moment the rest of the protected natural spaces is managed by the own community.
