The Bearded Vulture is a scavenger bird that lives in nests that it builds high up in the mountains. It feeds on the inside of the bones that it breaks by throwing them from great height, hence its name.
They hatch from eggs, which their parents lay in the nest. After the incubation and birth process comes the breeding period carried out by their parents, for which the recovery period of their populations is very slow.
They are scavengers, that is, they feed on the corpses that other animals leave behind.
