The wild boar is a robust animal, and with an evident kinship with the pigs of the farms but with a darker and more resistant coat.
The wild boar is fearful and hides at the slightest noise. It is difficult to see because it has nocturnal habits.
The female wild boar is called the javelin and his young boars are called.
The javelin can have up to 12 boars in the same calving.
Wild boar feed mainly on roots, acorns, and the fruits of beech and oak. But also potatoes and corn which can wreak havoc on crop fields.
