The forests

The forest usually covers the lower slopes of the valleys.
  Beech, fir, and Scots pine are dominant species and their distribution depends on the orientation and characteristics of each valley.

On the banks of the rivers, riverside vegetation appears, lover of humidity, with willows, birches, ash, etc.
Holm oaks and beeches are mixed in Añisclo, the Scots pine earns land formerly used in Escuain and the black pine uses all its strategies to survive in the limit of the arboreal vegetation.
Unlike pastoral activity, forestry activity can not be carried out in the Park.
The forests occupy 18% of the surface of the National Park.

Flowers

Innumerable variety of species grow in all corners of the Park, on the high peaks, between the fissures of the rock, in the shade of the beech woods.
These plants bloom when the benign season lends its warmth to life, as the snow melts.
Primulas, gentians, irises, evergreens, saxifagas, potentillas, merenderas, are some of the most unique.
In the National Park we will find a true sample of plants among the more than 1,500 species of Pyrenean flora.

Also Aragon enjoys a diverse and varied Nature where passing by plants, animals, Geology, or landscapes we can arrive at a fantastic bestiary that lives in its monuments.
