The galachos of the Ebro are meanders left after a change of channel or a swelling. They present/display clear waters and an interesting fauna and aquatic flora and forests of shore.
Juslibol
It is a space of high landscaping, ecological and cultural value located to about 5 km waters above of Zaragoza, in the left margin of the Ebro, between the rural districts of Alfocea, Juslibol and Monzalbarba. In him and his surroundings the natural dynamics of the average section of the Valley of the Ebro is written, because it is an old meander on the foot of escarpments of Juslibol, that was flooded by a flood in 1961.
Ebro, Galacho and lakes constitute a humid zone of enormous interest that occupies more than 100 hectareas. It is dominated by a great escarpment or it is cut of plasters and marls in whose superior part an immense steppe extends that ascends until the heights of the Tooth of the Castellar.
The conjunction of waters, the shores and the rocky one form three rich full ecosystems of life.
