Las lluvias y nieblas permiten la hidratación de las plantas suculentas, que presentan un buen aspecto vegetativo. Al característico gris de los tallos de la vegetación xerofítica (adaptada a los terrenos secos), con las hojas de un tamaño mínimo para reducir la evapotranspiración, se superpone el verde y marrón de las especies crasas con hojas carnosas, ahora bien hidratadas, como la Salsola, Suaeda, Atriplex, Arthrocnemun, Salicornia y Ononis tridentata, que aún está en floración.
