Monte de pinares silvestres, abetos y hayas. Alberga el único hayedo puro de Aragón. En estas fechas está empezando a cambiar de color, y registra un viraje al amarillo en un 70%. Dentro de 10 o 15 días, se pondrá prácticamente morado y estará en todo su esplendor. La belleza del monte puede apreciarse a lo largo de los 15 kilómetros que van desde Ansó a Zuriza. Este último punto y los barrancos de Tachera, a dos kilómetros de allí, y de Linza, a otros cinco, por otro desvío, son los mejores puntos para disfrutar del cromatismo del bosque.
FAUNA: Si uno se adentra en el bosque, aunque no es fácil, pero es posible ver jabalíes, sarrios y corzos.
