Se observa ya el cambio del clima otoñal al invernal: lluviosa y con grandes bancos de niebla, además de bajas temperaturas. Han comenzado las primeras nieves en las cotas altas. El mal tiempo ha dificultado incluso las tareas del censo del sarrio que se han llevado a cabo en el Valle de Tena. Esta especie se encuentra en época de celo, y también el jabalí, cuyas costumbres parecen cambiar, ya que se ven rayones casi todo el año. Las aves migratorias han incrementado sus vuelos, especialmente las grullas y las avefrías.
El haya es la especie que ha visto perder más rápidamente la hoja, sin embargo, pinos y abetos destacan con su verde intenso en los bosques mixtos. Este año no se han observado apenas bolsas de procesionaria en las coníferas del valle, ya que las larvas han sufrido unas duras condiciones. Sin embargo, en las zonas de solana sí tienen los pinos bastante afección de muérdago, que les debilita las defensas.
