Predomina en los campos el color verde, acrecentado por el tiempo húmedo y lluvioso de estos días. Pero el tono amarillo otoñal comienza a salpicar el paisaje. Las diferentes especies de chopos, negro, blanco y temblón, se han adelantado al resto de los árboles y con sus hojas caídas tejen en el suelo los primeros tapices de hojarasca. La flora inicia su adaptación a la nueva época. Los frutos del rosal silvestre, escaramujos, están en su mejor momento, y constituyen la alimentación básica de la fauna.
Está ya en apogeo la migración de aves. Comienzan a verse los primeros limícolas (chorlitos, andarrios, agujas...) procedentes del norte de Europa en su viaje al Africa subsahariana. Algunos insectos, como las mantis religiosas, buscan estos días un lugar seguro para el nido repleto de larvas.
La noticia en el Valle han sido sin duda las lluvias, pues la situación de sequía era grave, con fuentes que habían llegado a su caudal mínimo, incluso escaso para las necesidades autóctonas.
