El paisaje del Valle de Tena va adquiriendo nuevos tonos propios del final del verano. En los bosques, las hojas del abedul amarillean y comienzan a madurar las primeras moras. Con las últimas tormentas se ha refrescado el ambiente, sin embargo, y el agua ha sido muy bien asumida por el terreno, sin escorrentías ni arrastres, y por las plantas, que han reverdecido algo, sobre todo en el pastizal. Hay flor en la mielenrama, orégano, ajedrea, boca de dragón, gordolobo, verbena. ...
Pueden verse los frutos ya de color rojo del serbal, de los rosales silvestres, el espino blanco y la gayuba, y de un tono naranja claro los del espino amarillo, una planta endémica en la cabecera del río Gállego.
Aquí, los caudales son mínimos, del orden de los 40 a 60 litros por segundo, dentro de normal en esta época del año. Se observan muy escasas truchas. En esta zona es posible oir "silbar", y con un poco de suerte, ver alguna marmota. Mas comunes las aves: ratonero, collalba gris, pardillo, bisbita. En lo alto del cielo, vuelos de cernícalos y milanos.
