FAUNA: En época de lluvia es posible encontrarse en arroyos, ibones e incluso bosques y praderas un tipo de rana distinto a la rana común, propio del Pirineo, la rana bermeja. Esta especie, de costumbres menos acuáticas, sustituye a la común en los valles pirenaicos por encima de los 1.500 metros de altura. Su cuerpo de es de color más o menos rojizo y tiene una gran mancha negra detrás de cada ojo, que la distingue de la rana común.
