La cota de nieve está por encima de los 1.400 metros. Comienzan a brotar yemas en algunas especies, especialmente las salicáceas, y ya abundan las flores: prímulas, narcisos, hepática, ranunculáceas, daphne, boj... y los frutos del muérdago.
FAUNA: Llegada paulatina de aves estivales, las más anticipadas, que van ocupando sus áreas. Entre las numerosas especies, incluidas las migratorias, que pueden observarse estos días, están el ánade rabudo, garza real, estornino, urraca, lavandera pascadeña, corneja, buitre común, pico picapinos, agateador norteño, reyezuelo listado...
Un paseo puede descubrirnos también algunos mamíferos como ardillas y zorros. Temporada de pesca en aguas de régimen especial.
