Paisaje invernal, con nieve que hace prácticamente impracticable el tránsito por las pistas forestales. Entre las especies de aves que pueden observarse en la zona, son especialmente interesantes las que sólo acuden a las zonas bajas en invierno y viven en las cumbres más altas el resto del año, como el chochín ("Troglodytes troglodytes"), que puede verse en la zona de Sarras y río Aguas Limpias, a unos 1400 metros. Otras especies de la zona son el Carbonero garrapinos (Parus ater), carbonero común (Parus major), herrerillo capuchino (Parus crystalus) y zorzal charlo (Tordus viscívorus).
