En estos primeros días del mes de mayo, y a pesar de las bajas temperaturas que han predominado, pugnan diversas flores por salir, aunque muchas de ellas hay que buscarlas en los lugares más abrigados. Por su belleza, es digna de resaltar la orquídea silvestre. Las primeras hojas de primavera van brotando también en muchos árboles: mostasos, acer, rebollos y marojos, especialmente.
El Rodeno de Albarracín encierra además de bellezas naturales, un importante conjunto de Arte Rupestre Levantino, que puede ser visitado siguiendo las rutas señalizadas mediante un conjunto de flechas y códigos de colores. Todas las sendas parten del Centro de Información construido a la entrada, a 4 kilómetros de Albarracín. Las flechas de color rojo conducen a los abrigos de del Prado de los Toricos, dle Navazo, Tío Campano y Lázaro; las de color azul, al abrigo de la Cocinilla del Obispo; las verdes, a la zona del arrastradero o el Bricial, y, por último, las flechas amarillas llevan al abrigo de Doña Clotilde.
