Paisaje totalmente invernal. La nieve y el hielo dificultan la accesibilidad a las pistas. Los torrentes y las cascadas lucen columnas de hielo.
En las zonas transitables de la parte baja del valle, se pueden ver plantas con el fruto rojo del acebo, típicamente navideño. No hay muchos frutos porque las flores se helaron días atrás. El acebo es una especie protegida que no puede arrancarse, como tampoco abetos u otros árboles.
FAUNA: Alrededor de los rosales silvestres es posible ver abundantes rastros de corzos que acuden a alimentarse de los frutos. Los sarrios se han desplazado a las solanas. Los topos siguen activos excavando galerías bajo la tierra. El quebrantahuesos realiza paradas nupciales.
