Se acerca el fin de la otoñada y ya hay varias especies que han tirado la hoja completamente, proceso acelerado por los frios intensos de la semana (se han alcanzado temperaturas de -6 grados en Benasque, y en las cumbre por debajo de los -15 grados, con lo que ya hay cascadas de hielo en los torrentes).
Aquí y allá, dispersas, aún quedan algunas flores de rododendro. Este año ha habido abundancia de bellotas. Es el momento de coger los arañones, pues según la tradición hay que esperar dos heladas, que ya se han producido.
FAUNA: Las marmotas han comenzado la hibernación y han desaparecido en sus madrigueras. Los armiños comienzan a cambiar el pelaje al blanco invernal.
NOTICIAS DEL PARQUE: Editorial Pirineos acaba de publicar un mapa del Parque a escala 1:40.000 que recoge 60 itinerarios.
