Paisaje aún nevado en las zonas altas. Manantiales con agua escasa. El tiempo ha sido soleado con fuertes vientos y ventiscas nocturnas. Pinares con rebrotes, y prímulas y narcisos en plena floración. El fruto del rusco en maduración.
Halcón común, buitre y cuervos están incubando. El águila real en celo. Pasos migratorios de grulla común, chova piquirroja y treparriscos. Se observan bandos de piquituertos y verderón serrano aque aprovechan los piñones de pino silvestre. En las aguas de los ríos Calcón y Formiga hay abundantes ejemplares de tritón pirenaico, algunos de ellos copulando.
