La lluvia y el descenso de las temperaturas acompaña al paisaje que muestra ya caracteres otoñales. Algunas variedades de chopo y olmo comienzan a perder las primeras hojas. El quitameriendas está en flor y tienen lugar las primeras apariciones de hongos y setas (nizcalos y fredolis)
Casi todas las especies migratorias han comenzado a abandonar la zona en busca de terrenos más cálidos para pasar el invierno. Especialmente significativo es el paso de milano negro. Los reptiles, como el eslizón y el lución, buscan sus guaridas invernales.
Desde el 15 de septiembre, el centro de interpretación del Parque sólo está abierto durante los fines de semana.
