Los colores apagados en el paisaje de Guara son la nota dominante de un verano caracterizado por la falta de lluvias y las elevadas temperaturas. Los ríos bajan con muy poca agua, y este panorama tan seco obliga a mantener la alerta ante el elevado riesgo de incendios. Sólo los frutos del olivo y el almendro, pequeñas flores silvestres y el continuo vuelo de los vencejos y de las rapaces, casi todas acompañadas ya por las crías del año, destacan en la quietud del paisaje de Guara.
