El ambiente de la Sierra de Guara en estos días ha estado caracterizado por las altas temperaturas, los escasos vientos y en general días despejados con calimas matinales. El caudal de los ríos es flojo. Hay alarma ante el riesgo de incendios.
La flora de la zona tiene las hojas verdes y en período vegetativo, mientras destacan las flores de la Flor en Nieve y de San Humberto. En la fauna destaca la actividad de cría de la tarantula común y la migración del vencejo común.
La accesibilidad al ámbito protegido es buena. En cotos deportivos, de captura y suelta, se está dando la pesca de trucha, madrilla y barbo. Las actividades del momento en la zona son las hortícolas.
