En esta época se pueden diferenciar todas las especies del bosque de ribera por la coloración y tonalidad de sus hojas. El chopo (Populus nigra) mantiene aún algunas hojas amarillo rojizas. El álamo ha comenzado a perder la hoja, aunque mantiene su coloración habitual. El sauce (Salixs spp.) ha perdido las hojas casi en su totalidad, de tonalidad amarillenta. La retama (Retama sphaerocarpa) mantiene algunos frutos sobre las ramas, son de forma globosa, en racimo y tipo legumbre. La semilla queda libre en su interior y al agitarla suena como un sonajero.
FAUNA: Siguen llegando especies invernantes. Al cormorán (Phalacrocorax carbo) hay que sumar la cerceta. Se ve ya el aguilucho pálido y el lagunero. Los sotos y carrizales empiezan a recibir los primeros migrantes invernales: bisbitas, escribanos palustres, lavandera blanca, trigueros, estorninos negros, etc.
