El chopo ha virado totalmente al amarillo y ha perdido ya muchas hojas, igual que otras especies caducas, como el fresno, el álamo blanco y el sauce. Desde el escarpe o acantilado de la carretera nacional 232 sobre el Galacho de la Cartuja, puede verse ese paisaje de bosque caducifolio, con la particularidad añadida del contraste de las arboledas naturales, situadas en las orillas del río y del galacho, y la porción de choperas de cultivo, perfectamente alineadas.
