They are located at the end of the Valley of Benasque.
Present National Reserve of Hunting.
It presents/displays the greater heights of the Pyrenean one: Aneto (3,404 m.s), Posets (3,377 ms.) and Maladeta (3,308 m.s), and the permanent glaciers more to the south of Europe in the declared zone NATURAL MONUMENTS OF GLACIERS OF the MALADETA, with great abundance of ibones: Vallibierna, Cregueña, Batisielles, the Thousands, Remuñe.
The bulk of the Maladeta is formed by imposing tips that are grouped forming arnazón extended and narrow, crowned by an acute crest.
In this bulk is the highest mountain of all Pyrenees, the Aneto, accompanied by other giants, like the End d´Astorg (3,355 m.s), the Damn Tip (3,350 m.s), the Tip of Means (3,346 m.s), the Tip of Crowns (3,293 m.s), the Storm Tip (3,290 m.s), or the Tip of the Dawn (3,118 m.s).
To the Aneto it is acceded by many corners but the classic and simpler route is the one than part of the Refuge of the Renclusa and crosses the Glacier.
It is the used route of ascent more although it was not first.
The glacier woke up fear and first in acceding to the summit of the Pyrenees they avoided it.
Leaving the Renclusa it is necessary to surpass one long grassy slope until the Crest of the Portillones and once there, through the superior Portillon, we will happen through a rocky land until the Glacier, which we will cross in diagonal and it will take us to the top, after approximately 5 hours of made an effort march that will offer espectaculo us unforgettable.
In the bulk of Posets, with less length and more width than the previous one, is the second top of all the Pyrenean one, the tip that gives name to the bulk, the Posets.
The Posets is a mountain that surprises by its spectacular accesses. The most used part of Eriste and it ascends continuously accompanied of impressive masses of granite that make truely feel minusculo to the traveller. In the Refuge Orus Angel (2,100 ms.) it is possible to be stopped to rest before retaking the lofty ascent and to sleep and even to initiate on the following day early the assault to the top. Another more demanding access to the top of the Posets takes place by the Valley of Estos, crossing crests that they demand to go accompanied of a guide who knows the steps precise the mountain.
Also I recommend to you that you visit recoletos valleys of origin glacier: These, Eriste, Vallibierna, Gistain.
They are very humid valleys, of great lumber wealth (pine, fir) and of wild fauna. Mamiferes like bear, otter, rebeco, red deer, corzo, jabali and rapaces (real eagle, vulture, quebrantahuesos).
