The last valley of the Pyrenean Aragonese in the direction of the east is the valley of Benasque, that is bathed by the Esera and its affluents.
The town of the same name is known by the beauty its surroundings and its constructions that reflect a last splendor.
The Valley of Benasque is kept by steep and majestic mountains, and nothing less than 63 of them surpasses the three thousand meters. To the impressive beauty of these tops the attractiveness is added to him to surpass the mythical number; from here, they say many, really begins the high mountain. In ningun another valley so many "tresmiles" in so short space are concentrated, which causes that the lovers of the high mountain feel embiagados with as much height and choose the Valley like an irresistible place.
Near Benasque and to 1,540 m.s of altitude is the pueblecito of Cerler that gives name to a station of winter sports.
Sahún, Villanova and Castejón de Sos will dismiss to us of the Valley to the return that will pass by the impressive Congosto de Ventamillo.
In addition to his beautiful and abundant landscapes also it offers his Romanesque churches and hermitages to us.
